| Mellor Coachcraft of Rochdale is now manufacturing their low floor "Accessible Sprinter" buses at the Westhoughton site of parent company Woodall-Nicholson. The moves comes as the result of a very healthy order book and is intended to ease the order position and improve lead times.
The manufacturing operation is housed in its own purpose built factory, designed to operate as a true production-line facility.
Mellor Coachcraft has developed specialist expertise in the manufacture of accessible buses, with an emphasis on access for the aged, infirm and disabled. Today, the company is the acknowledged market leader in the supply of accessible vehicles to local authorities and other user groups across the country.
