| When Clifford opened his premises at Mount Pleasant in 1992, he had a total full-time staff of one Clifford himself! In his first year he carried out just 35 funerals and hired limousines from a local funeral director. Clifford was one of the first customers to order a hearse and limousine based on the Australian Ford Fairlane in 2002. In addition to carrying out his own funerals, Clifford hired out his fleet to other funeral directors in the area. Nowadays his business has increased to such an extent that he is seldom able to spare his vehicles but does make them available if possible.
Clifford and his wife Hilda now head seven staff who care for the funeral requirements of families in Preston and are arguably the largest independent funeral directors in the area |
