Woodall Nicholson Group reports strong results and growth in 2025

As it closes 2025, the Woodall Nicholson Group has confirmed a year of strong performance, reinforcing its position as the leading UK specialist vehicle manufacturer serving the bus, police and ceremonial vehicle sectors.

The Group delivered over 30% year-on-year growth compared to 2024, with circa 1,750 vehicles delivered across its core markets. Woodall Nicholson delivered profitable growth to support continued investment in products, people, and operational capability.

2025 also marks two years under the ownership of Guido Dumarey, who has supported the Senior Leadership Team in shaping the long-term strategy, strengthening governance, and accelerating innovation across the business. This hands-on leadership approach continues to underpin disciplined growth, quality execution, and strategic long-term decision-making.

Performance during the year was strong across all Woodall Nicholson Group businesses, reflecting the depth of its engineering capability and the resilience of its specialist markets. The Group has retained its leadership positions in core sectors including minibus conversion (up to 7.5 tonnes), police vehicle conversion, and ceremonial and specialist vehicles.

Innovation remained central to the Group’s strategy throughout 2025, with the successful launch of several new products including the best-selling Mercedes-Benz E214 ceremonial vehicle range, and the new Maxima and Strata accessible buses, further strengthening the Group’s market proposition. Looking ahead, an active development pipeline for 2026 will see additional new products introduced, supporting customer requirements and contributing to the transition towards reducing emissions and offering more sustainable transport solutions.

Alongside commercial performance, the Woodall Nicholson Group continues to make a significant contribution to the UK economy and local communities. The business supports 350 direct UK jobs, sustains more than 1,000 additional roles through its supply chains, and continues to invest in apprenticeships, training, and skills development. The Group also maintains active support for a range of charitable and community initiatives across the country.

With a strong order pipeline in place, the Group enters 2026 with confidence and a clear focus on execution, quality, and dependable long-term partnerships. Plans are already underway to invest millions of pounds in 2026 to support new product development and further improvements in operational efficiency.

“We have built a strong, resilient business with clear direction,” said John Randerson, Group CEO. “We are growing profitably, investing for the long term, and remaining focused on quality, innovation and customer care. We are supported by a wealth of talented people in all our business units whose dedication and commitment are instrumental in supporting our business, our customers, our suppliers and our growth aspirations. With a healthy pipeline and a strengthened balance sheet, I look forward to continuing our sustainable growth in the years ahead.”
